05:56 pm - what a disappointing day... So I told the general manager at Borders that Sunday May 4th is the last day that I can work. I go in the back room today to clock in annnnd I'm not on the schedule. They couldn't even give me one more day! I was also mad b/c when I told the GM that I wanted to work at a Borders in Irvine, he told me that he would email a couple of the stores and leave some info in my box before my last day. But when I looked today, they took away my box! It was if I never existed :( . So now I'm probably going to call them to see if the GM emailed the Irvine stores, and to see if I can get a recommendation letter.
anyways, I cancelled my Blockbuster Online membership last month and I still had my last movie so I thought I would exchange it for Toy Story b/c Henry has never seen it. BUUUUTTTTT they didn't have it so that kid is on his own. I did rent Bones S1 cuz it's my new favorite show. Current Music: i've been too occupied reading YA novels...
I was on my computer editing the movie, when I looked at the little souvenir Absinthe bottle Vanessa and Co gave me when they went to Europe. I noticed the color seemed off but I figured it was because it was next to my window. So I look a little closer and noticed that the seal of the cap was broken. I had never planned to drink it because it's a just a souvenir and would probably taste gross. At first I just assumed that my brother opened it to take a sip because it wasn't filled up all the way. BUT, I took a whiff of it to see if it smelled nasty only to smell....
06:37 pm i went on a spending spree today! well kind of. borders had a cd sale today so i bought 2 for $18. sweeeet. then i went to best buy b/c ENCHANTED came out and i also picked up a Denise Austin yoga dvd and another cd. when i got to the registers i found my runts!!! but there are only 3 originial flavors left and the new ones suck ass.
when i got home i immediately watched ENCHANTED. god i love that movie.
i just finished 20 minutes of yoga and i can't feel my legs. i planned on doing the whole hour but i turned it off after the 1st segment haha. i need to work on that.
in other news, i'm visiting my sister in Spokane, WA this weekend and i have to get up at 4AM on friday! gross. i think the only thing we're doing up there is going to this indoor water park *vomits*

06:06 pm - son of a nutcracker! this my first lj entry on my macbook!! i love this thing. i haven't use my other computer since i got it last week.
today and tomorrow borders has a 40% boxed DVD sets coupon for rewards members, so if you need a tv show on dvd come and see me tomorrow between 8-1 (ugh we open at 8 for the rest of the month). i enjoy visitors! also if you do buy something, i'm going to make you buy gift cards to pay for it cuz i want to win an ipod.

between selling mini christmas trees and drinking peppermint mochas, i am in christmas mode! at first i was reluctant to acknowledge the holiday spirit but i think i'm ready to start shopping. i really want to try a gingerbread mocha. is it any good? borders has gingerbread-scented gift cards so i get high off those while i work. also....... we found out that the store who sells the most gift cards wins ipod nanos for EVERYONE who works there. so...... if you need to purchase a gift card or ten, please do so at my store.
is there anything happening on monday? cuz i only have to work until noon and then i have the rest of the day off! i propose sushi b/c i'm having withdrawls.

11:10 pm - we're in the middle of an inferno (and not the good kind) So yesterday was pretty typical for me. My brother woke me up at 7:30 to inform me that RB was on fiyah and my cousin Angus invited us to to his house in carlsbad. My mom brought herself and the kitties to the house, and we (including the Dude of course!) headed out at 8:30. But before we could do THAT, we had to get gas. 45 MINUTES LATER... we left to get on the 5.

11:06 pm - cold as fire baby hot as ice My night so far consisted of wii-ing and watching the suite life marathon on disney. I've decided that the fat one is my least fav. ugh he annoys me.
Working at Borders is iight. But I hate working 5 days a week (6 counting Whimsy) and having 2 8-hour shifts. Come visit!
I would like to go to Disneyland on a thursday during Oct. Just putting that out there...

Sooooo next week is my spring break! I was afraid that I wouldn't have anything to do b/c EVERYONE else has spring break the following week, but I have plans now!
Tuesday-Thursday my mom and I are taking the train to Santa Barbara! I think all we are going to do is shop and walk around so it should be fun. (side note: when my brother found out we were going there he said, "but you're not 21!" b/c he has the assumption that drinking is the only activity in SB.)
Friday-Saturday we're going to Disneyland/CA Adventure with the rest of my family! We've been planning this trip since my aunt gave us tickets 3 years ago, so we're FINALLY using them!
In other news, I took advantage of the site Vanessa found to watch a movie film, that I have been DYING to watch, known as RV. Ok, so I wasn't really that excited about watching it, but I was bored and felt like seeing a random movie that was free. It was actually funnier than I thought it was going to be. Even with the annoying Jojo! So if you have time to kill, then watch RV. Or Night at the Museum b/c that was pretty funny!
P.S. - I just noticed that the words that I capitalized in this entry spell out "EVERYONE FINALLY DYING". Well and RV, but I don't really count that. It's still pretty spooky...
So I FINALLY got my Wii!!! Sure I had to wait 3 1/2 hours and my legs froze, but I got it and I love it!!!
Speaking of things I'm doing instead of my homework, I am obsessed with 24. I never thought that I would like it but it really draws you in. Way better than Lost, IMO. Ohhhhh Jack Bauer....
Gah I need to read my books! It sucks though cuz the 2 books that I really need to read are the 2 that are still backordered.
09:02 pm - Get Mii a Wii! I just got back from seeing Casino Royale and it was AWESOME! The only other Bond movie I've watched entirely was The World is Not Enough, and only b/c I liked the song haha. That movie blew. I do not like Pierce Brosnan as Bond. So I was surprised after I first saw the trailer for Royale and I actually wanted to see it. Anyways, it's a really good movie and I'd recommend seeing it for yourself.
Janine - don't bother renting SiLTHER for me b/c I'm just going to buy it at target tomorrow. I liked it that much. Current Music: The metal shit my brother's playing on "Guitar Hero"
On Monday I had JURY DUTY!!! when you get to the Hall of Justice it looks like an airport terminal, and it smells (literally) like shit. At first you hope that your name won't be called into one of the courtrooms, but after an hour of just sitting there you WANT to be called haha. So after a little while I was called in with 40 other people for this case about some business dispute. They randomly picked 24 potential jurors (which means there's a greater chance of being picked) and I was the 23rd person! Since I'm a student and I told them I have no interest in business, they excused me and I left at 2:30. It would be interesting to be on a jury but you'd have to drive downtown and pay for parking 4-5 days in a row. I was running late in the morning so I parked in the first parking garage I saw and the total was $18!!! At least I got to go to Horton Plaza during the lunch break.
Yesterday was also a busy day for me b/c I babysat from 11AM-11PM. The first 5 hours I watched my cousin's friend's kids while she packed to move to another house. One kid is 2 and the other one is 6 months. I've never really been around an infant so it was weird haha. At one point while the mother was out getting lunch, the baby was crying for like 10 minutes and then she spit up and it got on my shirt!! grosss. So that turned me off of children for a while haha. If I do get one I'll just adopt when they're around 2 years old b/c Henry is sooooo cute! Plus he's at the age where he's trying to put sentences together but he makes no sense haha. He was telling me some story and he kept saying, "and then Thomas and train and Thomas and the tunnel. Thomas. Tunnel." so i asked him if it had anything to do with Thomas the train and he said, "YES!!!" hahahha. I love that kid.
In other news I am obsessed with the show Firefly!! I watched a few episodes online and I was so hooked I bought the DVD today cuz I wanted to watch the special features and the commentary. I think its a lot better than Buffy cuz most of the characters on Buffy are too quirky and it's annoying. That's why I only like Spike haha. I really want to watch the rest of Firefly but my mom's DVD player isn't working so I'll have to wait in anticipation until tomorrow night!

Even though my Intercultural Speech class technically started September 5th, I'm just starting to participate haha. The only problem with online classes is that it allows procrastinators to, well, procrastinate. My first big paper is due on October 15th. It sounds pretty simple but I need the help of my RL friends!!
All I have to do is go to a restaurant and eat food that I've never tried before. Actually for me it might be pretty difficult haha, but in this case I will try overcome my simple tastes. I was thinking of going to an Indian or Greek restaurant, but if anyone can think of a restaurant thats different (for me at least) and is not a chain restaurant. Once we find it we can make a night of it!
I know at least one of you will come with me as an excuse to eat (hmmmm I wonder who it is.....)!
i think its one of the funniest/offensive movies ever made! i almost cried. i have a feeling that the censors might cut out some of the scenes (the fat guys balls/the running of the bulls jews) so if you really want to see it i would wait for the unrated DVD.
i can't remember all of the good lines but i think the one that i laughed a lot was when borat and his producer were afraid to fly because "the jews might try to repeat their attack of 9/11". or the town rapist ,"try not to rape too many people while i'm gone. or animals!". lol
